May 6th The work is progressing
THE WORK is progressing... slowly but surely haha. One thing I've discovered is that Scots talk A LOT. Which makes it very difficult to teach a lesson in under a hour but no worries timid Sister Fotheringham is working on being more bold.
FUN FACT I've been offered whiskey more times this week than I have my entire life.
If you don't remember anything from this email REMEMBER THIS "The blessings of feasting upon the words of Christ are powerful and life changing" (Elder Takashi Wada) There are so many blessings that we can receive from feasting upon the words of Christ Elder Takashi Wada spoke of these 3 during this last General Conference...
1) The words of Christ can help us “increase [our] spiritual capacity to receive revelation
2) When we struggle with our own identity and lack of self-esteem, the “pleasing word of God” (Jacob 2:8) in the scriptures will help us know who we really are and give us strength beyond our own.
3) We can lift the lives of others through the words of Christ.
I now INVITE all if you to read Elder Wada's talk and then continue to feast upon the words of Christ I know that if you do this your capacity to receive revelation will increase, your divine potential will start to be made known unto you, and that testimony you gain will help others come unto Christ!
SCOTTISH WORD OF THE WEEK: "Cheers" you can use it anytime, anywhere it means hello, goodbye and "I'm not really interested in your message about Jesus Christ but I don't want to look rude so..." Cheers
LOVE YOU all have a great week!
Cheers!
Sister Fotheringham
