Cheers Pal June 3

It has been WAYY too long since I have written a proper weekly so please bear with me as I get you all up to date... The last couple weeks have been cRaZy! Lots of teaching, and lots of finding I LOVE being a missionary! My favorite parts about it are all the miracles I am able to see and the amazing/ interesting people I get to meet. Here are a few highlights from the last couple of weeks...

  • GOD IS A GOD OF MIRACLES- The week before zone conference President had asked us to devote all our study time to studying these scriptures Elder Sabin gave us. My initial thought was "I am a brand new missionary. How am I supposed to prepare for these 7+ lessons that we have this week with absolutely no study time?!" My second thought was "O ye of little faith, this man who is called of God has asked you to do something- you should probably do it" So I did and it was amazing how well every lesson went! The lord really does bless us for our obedience!
  • THE LORD BLESSES HIS MISSIONARIES- Due to some technical difficulties this week Sister Coffman and I were out of money... We had just enough to buy some bread, peanut butter, jelly, a few carrots and a ticket into Glasgow. We were so blessed that entire week, members would randomly drop off food (they had no idea we had none), and one bus driver gave us day passes for less than half the price and said "keep doing good work."
  • STRAIGHT OUTTA JAIL... 9 YEARS... MURDER...? Let's just say we meet the most interesting people on the streets.
  • DRIVING- On Wednesday during exchanges Sister Linco couldn't drive so I drove for the first time ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE ROAD many prayers were said, but we made it to our destination safely.
Here are a few weird Scottish phrases I've been hearing a lot lately...
  • "I'm busy the now"
  • "How are yous"
  • "So I am"/ "So I was" (at the end of every sentence)
I hope you all are having a great week! I am committing myself to be more consistent with my weekly emails ( and I now commit you to watch https://media2.ldscdn.org/assets/missionary/elder-uchtdorf-ga-training-videos/2019-04-0010-inviting-others-to-come-and-see-720p-eng.mp4 this video and find ways to invite others to "come and see" whether it's through social media text or in person. I can't wait to hear about how it goes! Love you all! until next week!
                          Cheers!
