AND WE'RE OFF ....in 7 days SEPT 2

These past six weeks in Edinburgh have been a dream. A dream that I was abruptly woken up from Saturday morning when I got a call saying I'm going to BELFAST!!!! (northern Ireland) Totally unexpected, but I could not be more excited! 

There is nothing more gratifying than watching someone make changes in their life and seeing the joy that these changes make. Over the past 6 weeks we have been able to watch friend Giuseppe make these changes and experience the cleansing joy of baptism! Despite what it might look like in the picture, (what's with men and not smiling in pictures?) he has never been more happy in his entire life!!! I am honored that I was able to take part in his journey and can't wait to see where goes.

sooooooooooooo much has happened this week... but the most important is the event in the paragraph above^^

This week I was studying a talk from this last general conference entitled "Seeking Knowledge by the Spirit" There are many questions we have and many ways to seek answers for them. The internet it full of immediate factual responses that might appeal to your logical reasoning, although Elder held explains that "We can receive light and understanding not only through the logical reasoning of our minds but also through the guidance and inspiration of the Holy Ghost." He compares this principle with our visual capacity. "We can see adequately with only one eye, but the second eye provides us with another perspective. When both perspectives are put together in our brains, they produce a three-dimensional image of our surroundings." By using our logical reasoning and spiritual guidance it is like seeing with both eyes! I challenge you all this week to do just that. When seeking for an answer to a question don't use google as your only source. Pray to receive inspiration and guidance through the Holy Ghost because "by the power of the holy ghost ye may know the truth of all things"(Moroni 10:5)
