Covid-19 killed my comp...Not Literally MAR 16
Wow this week was such a blurr.. so much happened. First things first...
Subject line: Sister Bailey is not dead, just no longer a missionary.😕 We got a call Thursday morning saying they are sending home all senior missionaries and those with underlying heath conditions. She unfortunately fit into one of those categories and had only hours to pack. It still doesn't feel real, but I know that God is in this work, he knows what's coming, and he has a plan. Send many prayers her (and my) way. We need it.
CrAzY sToRy: We had exchanges Wednesday and I was with the ONE and ONLY sister Blatter (remember Edinburgh?) we had a blast, got some good Asian food, took some pics, we found, we taught and prepped our friends for baptism the usual and.... the NEXT DAY I got a call saying she would be my new comp. WHAT?! Let's go part 2...✌🏼 It's been a difficult few days but it's been good to have some familiarity- love you sister B❤
Our friend Herlano has been interviewed and is soooooo ready for baptism, but Corona is not. 🙃 We are not sure when he will be able to be baptized due to the discouragement of gathering in large groups. Pray for him and us.
Wow it's been rough, Corona is taking over, no one wants to meet and on top of that my best friend just left, but after many prayers and a few tears I have come to know that God really is aware of our situation, and he is in control even when it doesn't seem like it sometimes. I'm so grateful for this gospel and so grateful for this work. On my mission we had been asked to memorize the standard of truth and it has never been more applicable. And I can proudly say that I know that "The standard of truth has been erected. No unhallowed hand can stop the work from progressing; persecutions may rage, mobs may combine, armies may assemble, calumny may defame, but the truth of God will go forth boldly, nobly, and independent till it has penetrated every continent, visited every clime, swept every country, and sounded in every ear, till the purposes of God shall be accomplished and the great Jehovah shall say the work is done."
Love you all have a great week, don't forget to pray, read, and wash your hands!
Cheers,
Sister Fotheringham
