This week...(for you mom). NOV 18
Tuesday-
We got up at the crack of dawn to to drive to Cork for district council. We were in the car for 6+ hours. Sister Anjewierden shared some powerful knowledge/ life hacks on how I need to "pretend to know what I'm doing" #fakeittillyoumakeit I honestly think it will change my life. She's so cool✌🏼 Afterward we taught David from Bolivia who knew 0 English like 0. Luckily we had a joint teach from Argentina who was also a missionary in this mission. I contributed probably 7 words to the conversation and all were translated.
Wednesday-
We taught Vanessa this morning, her baptism is this week- #excitedforher Our lesson went wayyy long she knows how to talk. We street contacted for a bit. Ran into this guy who tried to argue with me that we are saved by grace ALONE, not works #butfaithwithoutworksisdead poor guy just doesn't understand. We then taught Rogger (spelled with 2 g's because his dad misspelled it on his birth certificate #dedatthat) When we sat down he pulled out his notebook so that he could take notes #golden. The feeling that he gets when he meets with us and comes to church he says he's only felt twice in his life. He knows that this is true. After our lesson it started POURING as it does in Ireland- but I'm loving my new coat I didn't feel a drop💧
Thursday-
We had the goal today of 6 qualified appointments and 2 on the spot lessons. We ended up having the 2 lessons and 8 qualified appointments- we FROZE but it was totally worth it. We had dinner at a members home- pasta that was definitely in the water too long (our fault we were 15 minutes late) and sauce which consisted of ground beef, sweet corn and carrots. We came to the conclusion that every meal they have here contains meat + sweet corn/carrots + a starch. That's it.
Friday-
We street contacted all morning- this guy tried to convince me "God is one" (definitely Muslim but wouldn't admit it) We had lunch as this place called "diceys" it was so good we will have to go when you guys come and visit. We got sooo much food for just €5. We taught Mauricio and found out the elders were teaching him at the same time and he never told us😅
Saturday-
One of the sister's in Ireland goes home Monday😕 so we had to take her to the airport so she could go to Edinburgh. The airport was so high tech we checked our own bags. We are now in a trio with her companion sister Ford (she's from Wales) and is hilarious. It'll be a good week. It's crazy moves call is a week from today- time flies also there was a vegan parade/protest #noanimalwantstodie
