June 15 2020 Isaiah with friends🙃✌🏼

WOW what a week! Where do I begin?

We found this guy MÁRIO on Facebook and he is so prepared!! He actually met missionaries a year ago but had lost contact since he got a new phone and lost all his contacts. We planned to teach him Monday, but he rescheduled for Tuesday and as I was putting his WhatsApp number in our phone after the lesson Tuesday I found that he was already in there and the date that some missionary saved his name under was June 9 2019.  EXACTLY a year ago from when we taught him. (I would say what a coincidence but there are none of those with God.) Teaching him was incredible HE brought up baptism (doing our job for us) and when we were about to finish the lesson he asked if he could bring a friend with him next time so we could explain everything to him. We tried to keep ourselves together as we calmly answered "yes of course." Little does he know we were screaming inside.

We got MOVES CALL this week... well kinda I got a call Saturday morning saying I would be moving to [an undisclosed location somewhere in the republic of Ireland] I of course was expecting this... after 8 months in Dublin I knew I was on my way out so I have been packed for a week. A few hours later I received another call informing us that moves for the republic of Ireland have been post- poned due to travel restrictions so for the time being I am wait drumroll... STAYING in DUBLIN (otherwise known as the promised land) I'm so grateful for the next few weeks I get to spend here to say goodbye to the good friends I've made over the last few months. It's a little weird knowing that this is not actually where I'm supposed to be but again there are no coincidences with God and I am determined to find out why I'm still here.👊🏼

After the craziness of the call we got to go see HERLANO in the park🌳 He brought his harmonica and we brought our guitar and we jamed together for the next hour. It was amazing, exactly the therapy we needed. I never knew you could play the harmonica to hymns but Herlano can do ANYTHING with that thing he is an amazing musician.

FUNNY STORY- we accidentally studied Isaiah with our friend Michael... We asked him where he was in the book of mormon and he said he just finished 1 Nephi 19 so we were like okay let's read chapter 20 together and he started to read and by the time he read "compare Isaiah 48" it was too late to go back. Poor guy was so confused and we were even more confused as he asked us questions like what's a sinew and how do you pronounce "Chaldeans" long story short don't read Isaiah with friends.😅

This SUNDAY we got to take the sacrament for the first time in 98 dayyyyyzzz! Not gonna lie I teared up a bit. I realized how much I took for granted the opportunity to participate in this ordinance every Sunday. I never realized how much of a gift it is and I'm grateful for those who participated to make it possible.

Hope all is well wherever you are at.
