July 13 2020 Gift of the GAB ๐Ÿ—ฃ๐Ÿ€

Heyy how are ye??? I've officially been in Cork over a week and I LOVE it. We've had a grand time.๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿผ Here are a few pictures to explain...

1) Sometimes when we are messaging people on facebook my comp will type what she is REALLY thinking... don't worry she never sends them unless it's an accident then it's just awkward.
2) I tried tofu for the first time in my life- wasn't too bad I could probably go vegetarian๐Ÿคท๐Ÿผ‍♀️

 3) We went to Blarney Castle for a service project and during our break they asked us if we wanted to kiss the Blarney stone we said sure why not? It was the BEST time to do it there is usually a que that is AT LEAST an hour and a half long and we just walked right up. Also due to covid precautions that stone has never been more clean๐Ÿ˜ท๐Ÿ˜š For those of you wondering why anyone would literally bend over backwards to kiss a rock, here's why... the legends say this stone has magical powers that gives you the ability to "charm anyone with your eloquence," or the "gift of the gab" as they say here in Ireland.๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ€ Still waiting for it to kick in... it could be very handy in missionary work๐Ÿ˜‰
4) As you may have seen on your Facebook feed I played the guitar haha I didn't know a single cord when this pandemic started thanks sister B for teaching me the 4 cords needed to play basically any song.๐Ÿ˜š
5) Cork is so lovely. It's a place where everyone who lives here loves it (except for this Micheร l Martin's guy haha pic below⬇️). There is so much pride, they often refer to their city as "the real capital of Ireland" ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ช Just don't tell that to anyone from Dublin.
Wow I am so grateful for the opportunity I have to be a missionary. The more the time passes the more grateful I get. There truly is no better work than the salvation of souls.๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผ I'm grateful to be in this beautiful country and for the technology that allows me to continue to fulfill my purpose! I invite you all this week to write down a list of things that you are grateful for and then refer back to them when your feeling discouraged. LOVE you all have a great week!!
Cheers,
Sister Fotheringham
