Week 4 No really, don't forget to change your clocks
Hey guys!! or as they say in Scotland "Hiya" (that's where I am by the way, Scotland Glasgow area in a cute little town called Cumbernauld) I've been here less than a week but have already seen so many miracles!
-MY COMP-
My trainers name is Sister Coffman she's been out 13 months and is AMAZING! She's from Kentucky and is the nicest most selfless person I have ever met! I have learned so much from her and I still continue to learn from her everyday!
-THE WORK-
We spend most of our time here talking to people we pass by and chapping on their doors. The first couple of days I was so nervous, I wasn't sure how to approach someone and at THEIR OWN door and talk about the gospel. I soon found that I had to get over that fear because after all that is what I'll be doing the next 18 months haha still not used to it but I have gotten way better! We had so much success this week we stopped and talked with some of the coolest people and even set up appointments to teach 9 OF THEM!! I'm so excited to be able to share how the gospel can help them have joy and peace in their lives! I'll update you on how that goes next week!
-OKAY SO FUNNY STORY...-
Turns out Scotland has a daylight savings time change during the last week of March haha and due to our lack of technology we weren't aware, so on Sunday instead of arriving 30 minutes early to church like we thought we were actually 30 minutes LATE! We missed the sacrament and walked in halfway through testimony meeting! Haha not the best way to meet the ward for the first time but it did lead to some good conversations.
-WEEKLY CHALLENGE-
This past week I've gotten a lot better at talking to random people, but when it came to bringing up the gospel I was a little hesitant. My trainer said something to be that has completely changed my perspective. She said to think of something I like a lot like Nutella or Pasta-Roni (haha), she then asked if I had a hard time bringing those things up in conversation. I said no because I love them and want everyone else to be able to try them because they are SO GOOD! She told me to think of the gospel in that same way. The Gospel of Jesus Christ can bring so much joy and happiness in our lives and we should want to share it with everyone! I challenge you this week to share the gospel with someone whether its in person, through text or on social media. Don't be afraid or ashamed to share something that you love and that has brought you joy!
S.W.W (Scottish word of the week): Chapping - We don't knock we "chap"
Love you all hope you have a great week! (My P-day is Monday now btw) I would love to hear from you all about what's going on or how you were able to share the gospel!
